The day could not have been any more perfect. First off…the wedding was held in my most favorite place…St. Simons! You can’t really go wrong saying your I Do’s here. We started out the day at the amazing Sea Island Golf Resort and finished off with an amazing wedding at Village Creek Landing. I could not have imagined a better location for Phil and Jennifer…it fit them to a T!

Hello blog world! I am alive and well and have not fallen off the face of the earth…even though I haven’t visited here in a while. You know…holidays and all. But don’t worry…there are plenty of amazing families and couples that will be featured here in the coming days…so hold on tight…

Here’s the first amazing couple…Mirnes & Melissa. Now…this is a super special couple…Melissa and I go way back. We lived down the street from one another and were the best of friends all through elementary school. When I got the message that she was getting married and that she wanted me to capture her wedding…I was thrilled. It is a great honor to get to be a part of her big day…the day that we dreamed about when we were little girls. So amazing.

I met her fiance on the day of their engagement session…and I must say…they are a perfect fit for one another! I can’t wait for May!

So without further ado…

I have a confession…I am a sucker for fall. There is nothing better than the crisp morning air and a piping hot cup of coffee (with Almond milk of course). The anticipation of family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and decorating the Christmas tree is almost too much to bear. I don’t know about you…but I just love this time of year.

On the way to work this morning I was watching the leaves fall and remembered those days when I was a kid and we would rake up all of the leaves from the old oak tree in our back yard and then plummet into them from the tire swing. I could almost smell the leaves. Oh, to be a kid again. Simplicity.

Now that you have endured my momentary ponderings…here are some images from a session that I did with Ron & Trisha in Eufala, AL. I must say…this session was so so so much fun!

Fall is in the air. Brilliant hues of red, orange, and yellow are beginning to color the landscape and I couldn’t be happier. Coffee…hot tea…cozy sweaters…tons of family time…This is my absolute favorite time of year!

Last weekend while I was in Atlanta worshipping at a ladies conference, I had the amazing opportunity to stop in and photograph this sweet family. They are the type of family that just make you smile. After leaving their home, I just could not stop grinning…what an honor.

Wow…It’s hard to believe that in less than three weeks these two will be getting married…in Korea. I have never wanted to jump on a plane so badly in my entire life…just for a wedding. But, I love these guys!

Man…time flies by. It seems like just yesterday that we were capturing newborn photos of Miss Eden Terre. Now…she’s three…and she’s hysterical. Towards the end of the session we were playing on the play ground and she looked up at me and said, “Beckik, that’s enough cameraing.” I suppose she was right…it was time to put the camera down and simply play. I love this kid!

As I watched the young men from the Paul Anderson Youth Home enjoying a gorgeous Saturday I was reminded of what one life can do if they will just say yes. 50 years ago, Paul and Glenda Anderson did just that. They saw a need. They heard the call. They said yes. They laid down their lives so that young men could have the opportunity to meet their Savior and begin a new life. There aren’t many people who will leave behind a legacy like that of Paul and Glenda.
